What is MIL-DTL-117?
Created in 2001, MIL-DTL-117, also known as Military Detail Specification 117, refers to the detailed specifications for heat-sealable, flat barrier bags designed to meet the rigorous demands of military packaging. The bags must be water-vapor-proof, greaseproof, flexible and heat-sealable. This specification is used by the government when they determine an item must be shipped to them in a bag form.
