Why use Moisture Barrier Packaging?
Moisture Barrier foils are a niche product and perhaps you have never heard of them. One thing is certain however, the applications for their use are limitless.
Moisture content influences the physical properties of a substance such as weight, density, viscosity, refractive index and electrical conductivity amongst other things. So when your customer goes to process that highly engineered polymer or speciality chemical you have carefully manufactured the moisture content is key.
Barrier foils have a transmission rate that is 80 times lower than a standard polyethylene liner. To me and you that means it is 80 times more effective at keeping moisture out. It works the other way too. If you want to retain particular moisture content of your product a Barrier foil liner will stop your product from drying out.
Dried product protection is not the only arena where Barrier foils are king. Corrosion prevention is another key application it lends its hand to.
